Sunset in Brentwood

I caught the most amazing sunset here in the East Bay. The sky was on fire as the setting sun ignited the mist and the rain on the horizon in pink and orange light. The paintings do not do the real thing justice.

The water was such a beautiful inky blue but peach colored in the highlights, reflecting the color of the evening sky.

A quick sketch from the park across the street.

Found a nice spot on a cliff face, hidden in a cave and sheltered from the sun, wind and water. It took some hiking to get there, but well worth the walk.
